HG is back in this episode.
Not long after Parks and Rehabilitation guest starred Desperate Housewives alum Emily Bergl, this episode guest starred not one but two Desperate Housewives alums Ricardo Antonio Chavira and Tuc Watkins.
Series lead Eddie McClintock himself was a guest star in Desperate Housewives and it was a reunion with Chavira (and I don’t think that McClintock had anything to do with Watkins in that series) as their characters there were sort of related since their characters were involved in a tussle over a custody of a child.
HG here has her settling down with a new boyfriend played by Watkins and his daughter. There is perhaps a sort of joke with the character that Watkins was given to play because in Desperate Housewives he played the gay Bob Hunter and the history of Warehouse 13 depicted the real-life HG Wells as a woman played by Jaime Murray when the real world has always known that Wells was a man. So Watkins’ character here in this Warehouse 13 episode has him being in a relationship with a sort of a man in HG.
Chavira played a cop who is also one of the villains and I have seen him as a crooked cop before in the Joan of Arcadia episode The Boat.
The revelation of who the partner of the Chavira character was really did not come as a surprise to me.
A bit amusing when Pete suggested an artefact gets named after Alfred Hitchcock.
I really did not like this episode of HG settling down as I did not think it was done well and something that shouldn’t have been attempted at all.
What was going on in the warehouse was slightly better than the HG storyline.
